YEEP 7/1. 5 K in one inning?

Evil Em Vee P of the night: Mark Montgomery, this was the only picture I could find courtesy of MILB.com. He had 1 IP, 5 K tonight. Despite letting up a run in his first appearance at Charleston, anyone who strikes out 5 in one inning gets the Em Vee P in my book.

AAA SWB: W 9-7 over Norfolk
2/4, 1 R, 2B, 3 RBI, 1 BB. He's heating up (one more big game in a row and he'll be on fire NBA Jam style)
Laird: 0/3, 1 RBI
Wordekemper: 1.1 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 1 K. Bad bullpen tonight, still won it though.
Randy Flores: 1.2 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB. Only faced 2 lefties in the 1.2 IP, but they were 1/2 against them.

AA Trenton: L 10-5 to Altoona. L: Halsey
Ray Kruml: 1/5, 1 R, 1 RBI, K, SB (26)
CoJo: 1/4, 1 BB
Austine BRomine: 3/4, 1 RBI, 1 BB (.306). He'd be in AAA in any other system right now.
Rob R-Ly Lyerly: 2/5, 1 R, 1 K.
Betances: 5 IP, 8 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 3 BB, 6 K, 1 HR. Tough outing, didn't do a lot well here but it wasn't the worst.

High A Tampa: Double header vs. Daytona. Gm 1: L 2-1.
Walt Ibarra: 0/3, 1 K
Boilin Zoilo Almonte: 2/3, 1 R
Kyle Roller: 1/3, 2B, 1 RBI, 2 K. Don't like the strikeouts, but if he can make the necessary adjustments in the next 2 months he may start the season in AAA next season.
Seggy: 0/1, 2 BB, CS.
Kelvin Castro: 0/2, 1 K
Mikey O'brien: 5 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 1 K, 1 HR. Much better than his first outing. This is what we've come to expect from him.

Game 2: L 1-0. L: Claiborne
Honest Abe Almonte: 1/3, SB (16), CS (7).
Walt Ibarra: 0/3 1 K
Boilin Zoilo: 1/2, 1 BB, 1 K. Average up to .286. I don't ever remember him hitting this well. Hope he keeps it up.
Roller: 0/2, 1 K
Seggy Segedin: 0/3, 1 K
Kelvin Castro: 0/2, 1 K
Quintana: 4 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 2 K. 1.66 ERA on the season.

Low A Charleston: W 10-8 vs.Rome. W: Allen, S: Montgomery
Eduardo Sosa: 2/5, 2 R, 1 K
Sanchize: 1/5, 1 RBI, 1 BB
Higgy Higashioka: 1/4, 1 R, 2 K
Ramon "Ray-Flo" Flores: 3/4, 1 R, 2B, 2 RBI. He needed a game like this. Where's the walk though? jk
Mark "Monte Python" Montgomery: 1 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 5 K. That's not a typo, and it wasn't a typo in the box score either. I looked at the recap. He struck out 2 guys on wild pitches, and made all of his outs by strikeout as well. The crazy thing is, at the rate that this guy strikes people out, I doubt if this is the first time in his career that this happened.

Short Season Staten Island: W 7-4. W: DeLuca
Mad Mase Williams: 2/5, 1 R, 2B, 1 K
Cheetoh Culver: 3/5, 2B, RBI, K
Angelo Bubba Gumbs Shrimp Gumbs: 2/4, 1 R, 1 BB, 2 K
R Nunez: 2/4, 2 R, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 1 BB.
Shane Brown: 1/2, 1 R, 2B, 2 BB. You can't get him out right now. He's still batting .472.
Evan DeLuca: 5 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 K. Got the W, his first. Nice work.
Caleb Cotham: 2 IP, 1 H, 5 K. Moving quickly. Pitched very well so far.
Zach Arneson: 1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 K. He's allowed to let a run up every now and then.

GCL Yankees game suspended. Sorry about the error, earlier I had it as SI.
